With our family winery, we are passionately committed to growing dry Rieslings of the highest quality. We do not aim to satisfy everyone but to pass on our fascination for Riesling.
Our top vineyard wines grow on steep slopes of up to 70 percent incline on barren slate soils.
The total of our four sites extend over 20 hectares — Bacharacher Posten, Bacharacher Wolfshöhle, Steeger St. Jost and Heylesen Werth — Bacharacher Posten and the island wine Heylesen Werth are managed in monopoly. The Heylesen Werth island wine is classified as a first site.

These are the attributes we are striving for. The focus is on a clearly recognizable signature in taste, which is precisely reflected in the form of fruit, balance and especially freshness.
Due to the Mediterranean-style climate in Bacharach and the barren slate soil, our wines are extremely lean and integrate the acidity harmoniously. Our wines have a tight acid structure and a character typical of the terroir. They are characterized by good suitability for storage and longevity. They only go on sale after 2 years of bottle maturation.

Family-run, our winery is located in the middle of the small wine-growing region of the Middle Rhine. With a share of 90%, we mainly cultivate Riesling vineyards here.
With the top site Posten managed in monopoly and the Heylesen island classified as a first site itself, we have the best conditions to vinify top tier Rieslings. On the steep slate slope, we have vines that are over 70 years old.
